Community Guidelines
We don't have a community yet — just a list of people waiting for an app. But we want to be clear about how we'll act, even now.
Last updated: [DATE]
Note: the real community guidelines — the ones that govern how travelers and locals behave at a table — will be published when the app launches. What follows is how we'll treat each other in the meantime.
01The promise behind the waitlist
By signing up, you're trusting us with your email. In return, we promise:
- Honest communication. We'll tell you when we launch, and we'll tell you if our plans change.
- No noise. No daily updates, no growth-hacky drip campaigns, no third-party offers. Just what's useful.
- Easy exit. Every email has an unsubscribe link that actually works.
- Respect. We won't share your email, profile you, or treat you as a marketing target.
02What we ask of you
Even at this early stage, the waitlist is a small community. We'd appreciate it if you:
- Use your own email. Don't sign up other people. Don't sign up addresses you don't own.
- Don't game the form. No scripts, no bulk submissions, no scraping for early data.
- Be kind in correspondence. If you reply to one of our emails or contact us with feedback, talk to us like a person. We'll do the same.
03What we won't tolerate
We reserve the right to remove anyone from the waitlist (and, later, from the app itself) for:
- Harassment, threats, or hateful conduct directed at our team or anyone we work with.
- Attempts to abuse, exploit, or impersonate the signup system.
- Sharing other people's personal information without permission.
- Any conduct that is illegal under applicable law.
Removal from the waitlist means we'll delete your email and you won't hear from us again.
04Looking ahead
When the app launches, a fuller version of these guidelines will cover how people behave at tables, how groups are formed, how locals host, how ratings work, and what gets you removed from the app. The principles will be the same: be kind, be honest, be the kind of person other travelers would want to share a table with.
05Reporting something
